Tuttech Racing

My wife Pepper and I have been involved in the racing industry since the year 2000. We both have grown up playing in the dirt from Glamis, Pismo, Ocatillo, Salten Sea, to Barstow and Lucerne. We were married in Glamis in 2005 with a group of about 75 of our closest friends and family, not to mention the many duners who stopped by to observe and wish us luck.

I have been building my own cars since I returned from the military in 1994. It was always my passion by the time I was 30 to be off road racing my own cars. With the help of Pepper, in June 2001 we entered our first off road race in the Barstow desert. Taking a 3rd place first time out, no experience being on a track yet, we were pretty excited. We did another in August 2001 and took a second, and again in September 2001 to take a first place. We were hooked!! The excitement and adrenaline rush you got was incredible. We raced off and on for about 4 years till we decided in 2005 to build a new car that we could enter for the entire season with a great organization called MORE (Mojave Off Road Racing Enthusiasts). We were going to just enter sportsman since we did not have any sponsors, and just had friends and family helping us out when they could.

We finished building "Kitt", our current car in late 2006 and began racing full time in 2007. With myself behind the wheel and my wife Pepper as my navigator, we took a 2nd overall for the season with MORE. In 2008 we took a 3rd for the season. In 2009 Pepper has taken over as driver of record and I as her navigator. She has held first place in points for Class 13 for most of the year and expects a podium finish when the season concludes with the Toys for Tots Charity race in Barstow, California on December 5th, 2009.

We have been involved every year in the Breast Cancer Race for the Cure off road race every October. It is an all female race where all donations go to benefit the Cedar Sinai Breast Cancer Research fund.

What started as just a husband and wife team has grown to a "family" of racers, friends, family, and even sponsors who have supported us 110%

With out everyone's support, the passion both Pepper and I have for the sport, and the love of our family and friends we could not be where we are today.
